hooked

Our house will be delivered in the next few weeks, as if i didnt have enough to do, I'm hooked on a new craft mosaic. I bought the table for $5 and the tiles from the tip shop, its fun but messy!
Two pot stands and a wooden jewellery box with colored beads,
The never ending story rag rug, the hessian cost $4 and I used about 15, $1 teeshirts from the oppy, so Ive worked on it for 2 hours each night for the past 6 weeks, lucky I have plenty of patience.

Almost done in time for the new digs. YAY

RIP POP xxx

My dear father past away 10 days ago, i will remember him by his strength and resilience during the past 5 years since Mum died. They were difficult times for all of us,but so much more for him after 50 years with my beautiful Mother.
The night he died my auntie and I went for a drive to the beach, where she used to take my Mother, they used to sit on a wooden seat and watch the ocean and talk about old times.
My Auntie and I sat having a snack on "Mums" seat, I said "Ok Pop give us a sign that you are watching us".."Maybe some dolphins?" So we ate and we watched............20 mins went by and I heard a train rumbling and tooting in the distance.....
.I said "Um nope Pop a train is not good enough".  We decided to go for a walk to the point and walking back to the seat 15 mins later I looked across the bay ............And yep there was the sign!!
To me a sign of freedom after all the pain and suffering Pop unfortunately had to endure in his later years.....Thank-you Pop for EVERYTHING!!! I will love you forever xxx
And as we drove home The Beatles ballad 'And I love her" played on the car radio (which was played at Mums funeral)............confirmation to me that they are together...once again.....forever this time.

No more fabric!

Cute little Japanese tea/coffee set I picked up at the Oppy this week....too gorgeous!!
My next project a '60's cabinet...on my to do list this week.
Desk chairs recovered, what a mission,  as you can see I ran out of fabric, polka dot seam is not lined up at all...I didnt even have enough fabric left over to make the ties so had to compromise with some pink cotton tape....oh well never mind, they look much better than the before shot lol.
Re: THE NEW DIGS.....the fit out of the containers has been delayed due to floods...no drama really, as the plans are still in council (they were lodged 3 weeks ago!).
Fingers crossed  all the paperwork is sorted  and our new home will be delivered in the first week of March.
